Ingredients
For the Base:
1 box yellow cake mix (about 15.25 oz / 432 g)
1 large egg
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
For the Gooey Topping:
8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
3 ½ cups (420 g) powdered sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
Make the base:
In a bowl, mix cake mix, egg, and melted butter until combined.
Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Prepare the topping:
Beat cream cheese until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
Pour in melted butter and gradually mix in powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Assemble:
Pour the gooey mixture over the base and spread evenly.
Bake for 35–40 minutes.
