The first condition concerned Adrian’s behavior during his mother’s final months.
At first, he dismissed it. Claimed he had been present, that he had fulfilled his role as a son. But the records told a different story. Hospital logs, timelines, and statements from people who had been there every day painted a picture that could not be denied.
He had not been there.
Not in the way that mattered.
The room grew quieter with each detail.
A close family friend described long days spent caring for his mother while Adrian was absent. A longtime assistant confirmed that his visits had been brief, focused on money rather than comfort or care.
Each word carried weight.
Each detail stripped away another layer of certainty.
“That’s not true,” Adrian said, but even he did not sound convinced.
The lawyer did not argue. He simply presented evidence.
And with that, a significant portion of the inheritance was forfeited.
The number was overwhelming.
