An interim operations lead—Daniel Reed, a respected plant director—was appointed. Amelia’s termination was reversed. The systems Ethan had dismantled were reinstated.
Ethan made one final attempt to defend himself, accusing Amelia of using wealth and influence to take control. She met his gaze steadily. “No,” she said. “I’m taking responsibility for what you damaged.”
