Essential oils are highly concentrated, and applying them undiluted can cause skin irritation or burns. It is therefore recommended to dilute the essential oil in a carrier oil (such as coconut or sweet almond oil) before application.

Clean and disinfect the area, then apply tea tree essential oil to a cotton ball. Gently rub the skin tag for one minute, then secure the cotton ball with a bandage. Leave it on for several hours to help the skin tag disappear.

The effectiveness of the essential oil depends on consistency. Apply the oil two to three times a day to the skin tag, gently massaging the area. This regular routine is crucial, as skin tags can take time to disappear depending on their size and location.

You can mix different essential oils. Tea Tree with its disinfectant properties, Lemon with its astringent power and Lavender with its soothing and healing action, form a perfect combination.

Other natural solutions exist as complementary treatments. Apple cider vinegar is a popular home remedy, thanks to its acidic properties which help dissolve the skin tag tissue. Aloe vera, meanwhile, can soothe the skin and reduce inflammation while promoting healing.

It is important to perform a patch test before applying essential oils to a larger area of skin. Apply a small amount of the diluted oil to the inside of your elbow and wait 24 hours to check for any reaction. If you experience irritation, discontinue use immediately.
