Vanessa looked annoyed and demanded to know what clause I was referring to. I smiled calmly and explained everything.
“The clause states that whoever guarantees and fully repays the loan using their own funds becomes the primary owner of all company assets,” I said without raising my voice.
The room fell silent as the meaning of my words settled in. Jonathan’s hands began trembling as he read the page again.
“That cannot be true,” he said weakly while shaking his head.
“It is completely true, and your attorney explained it clearly the day you signed,” I replied without hesitation.
Patricia stood up abruptly and demanded to know what kind of nonsense this was. I pulled out another document and placed it on the table.
“This is the official confirmation from the bank that the loan was fully repaid this morning using my funds,” I said while pointing at the details.
Vanessa’s confident expression slowly disappeared as reality began to set in. Jonathan looked like he had been struck by something he could not recover from.
“You are lying,” he said, though his voice lacked any confidence.
I shook my head slowly and met his eyes. “As of 9:42 this morning, I became the majority owner of Brooks Logistics,” I said clearly.
William slammed his hand on the table and insisted that it was Jonathan’s company. I tilted my head and corrected him calmly.
“Not anymore,” I said.
Jonathan rushed toward me and accused me of tricking him. I raised an eyebrow and asked if I had tricked him or if he simply never read what he signed.
Vanessa looked at him with growing confusion and asked why he told her he owned everything. Jonathan could not respond because he had no answer.
